The 6th Grade Nickname Game

My friends and I can relate to this book sooo much! We always like making nicknames for each other! For example, Avocado, Ice Cream, Favo, Adri Boo Boo, and more! Don’t judge me, I’m a weird person. Most nicknames can relate to food or cute simple ones. My cousin and I are, “Partners In Crime”.  We don’t normally make nicknames for people we don’t know, but in the book they have nicknames for everyone. For example, Skunk, Iceman, Snoopy, and Gasbag. That is how my friends and I can relate to this funny and entertaining book.

The Fill-In Boyfriend

I am currently reading a book called The Fill-In Boyfriend. Its about this girl named,  Gia Montgomery. Her boyfriend, Bradley broke up with her at the school parking lot, at prom. Bradley left her and she another guy in the parking lot waiting for his sister.  Gia has been telling her friends about Bradley and one of her friend, Jules, didn’t believe her one bit. Prom was the time that Gia could’ve proven them wrong. She showed them pictures of Bradley but Jules thought Gia was taking pictures of random people. Gia didn’t know how she was going to tell her friends so, she ask the guy in the parking lot. She pleaded and begged. He finally agreed to be “Bradley”. Gia never asked about his name, so when she did ask, he said “Bradley” and he wouldn’t tell her.

Reading Response-Diary Of A Wimpy Kid-The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth makes me laugh and grosses me out sometimes. For example, at one point, Greg’s Uncle John said, “A couple months ago, Uncle Gary took Sonja to a baseball game, and he was planning to break up with her because he wanted to start dating her sister instead.

But before Uncle Gary could have breakup talk with Sonja, a plane flew across the sky with a banner behind it.” on this part, I knew something bad was going to happen, so I continued to read,”Leonard said that there must’ve been some other guy in the stadium with a girlfriend names Sonja. But Uncle Gary’s Sonja reacted first before he had a chance to say anything.” I felt bad for him but it was really funny.

If I was Sonja I would be mad. There are other funny parts but I don’t want to spoil it all. I just showed my favorite part. I find this book funny and I recommend it.

About Me! <3

Herro, Hello, Heyo! My name is Kaitlynn Saenz. I have many nicknames, Kat, Kait, Kit Kat, and much more. I love all animals but if I had to pick one it would be a elephant seals. I love elephant seals because their snazzy and I like their abilities and other animals but if I had to pick, those are my favorite. Sometimes I make my mind to think I’m a cat too. MEOW! Anyway, my  favorite colors are just pastels. In my free time I like playing online games and talking to my friends. My favorite shows are “Riverdale” and a series I watch on Youtube called, “My Street: Starlight”.  I have one older brother but he lives at his moms house currently. I have 4 dogs but 1 passes away and 2 birds 2 birds that past away. Halloween is my favorite holiday because I love decorating my house and wearing costumes! That’s all about me!!

Cassie’s Crazy Fight Gone Wrong!

“How c-could you? Who do you think you are?” Stammered Lillian Jean. She wipes her nose while the blood runs down her lips. She had her eyes wide open. Lillian Jean started shaking.

“I think I’m Cassie, and I’m proud! I am done with you. How can you treat me like a slave?” Cassie walks away. Lillian Jean is on the ground, on her knees, weeping.

After that day, Lillian Jean never dared to go near Cassie. No one bothered Cassie again. Cassie got the freedom she wanted and she felt free with no one making her do things and telling her what to do.

When Cassie got home, her father was very upset, “Cassie, why you do such a thing?” He had a disappointed look on his face.  Cassie had her head down.

“I am sorry. It won’t happen again.” Cassie pleaded

“You did something very bad Cassie, but you did stand up for yourself.” Her father put his hand on her shoulder, “Just be more careful next time.” Her father walked out of the kitchen.

A couple months past and Lillian Jean and Cassie were best friends. Cassie’s dad even got a promotion on his job. They started growing up as friends and hung out. They still laugh at some old memories. Like when Cassie slapped Lillian Jean back. It was a good start over.

Reading Response- The Ugly Truth

The booking that I’m reading the book called The Ugly Truth and I would like to send this to the main character named Greg Heffley.

10/11/17

Dear Greg Heffley,

I would’ve suggested that you make other friends too, not just Rowley Jefferson. Also, you should’ve taken turns when Rowley was pulling you in the wagon. Anyway, I have the same problem waking up so, my mom finds a way for my dogs to bark. It startles me so it wakes me up.  The alarms don’t help me all the time. We can relate on the same note.

Sincerely, Kaitlynn

Reading Response “The Revolutionary War”

The book I read but also just finished is The Revolutionary War. It is one of the “You Choose Books” and you get to pick your path. It had true facts about the war but made the book fun at the same time. For example, it talked about the Boston Tea Party and other actual events that happened.  I made it almost near the end. My father and brother were about to get killed by a solider until I said, “Leave him alone! He’s an old man!” The solider says, “You’re not.” and points the gun at me and I died. That is how my story ended.

Reading Response

“A Walk To Remember” has many details so i don’t know if its fiction or non-fiction. Her dad left his daughter at young. They haven’t mentioned the name of the main character yet. Her dad left her young so she doesn’t know much. She tries to act cool so her crush can like her. The thing she doesn’t know that he likes her back. Her father, Hegbert, is mentioned a lot. For example, it mentioned, “making Hegbert a widower who had to raise a daughter on his own.” I’m predicting that the mother died when the child was young. I love continuing this story. I am glad I can keep reading “A Walk To Remember”.
